Weather Play Box (To increase skills in cognitive, language, fine motor, creativity, and sensory processing)

We created this playbox based on the book "Hello, World - Weather" by Jill McDonald.

Our Weather Box is perfect for the little one with 8 activities created to increase skills in cognitive, language, fine motor, numeracy, literacy, creativity, and sensory processing. 

Along with our weather themed activity includes: 

🌡️Weather Sensory Activity - These sensory activities allow kids to create the rainbow, wind, lightning, and much more. The sensory bin allows kids to play, create, imagine, and explore different materials in a variety of ways.

🌈Rainbow Water Beads Sensory Bottle- Sensory bottles can be a great tool to calm our little ones. It gives their body and brain a way to calm down their nervous system as they watch the water beads slowly swirl around.

🔠Find The Missing Beginning Sound - Great activity to train fine motor skills and enhance vocabulary learning.

❄️Snowflake Magnify & Match Activity - This activity allows kids to learn to use a magnifying glass to identify the snowflake pattern to the actual one. This helps to develop visual recognition of symbols, patterns, order, and memory. It also helps the children to practice hand-eye coordination which requires a lot of repetition to fine-tune their movement when using a magnifying glass.

🌧️Raindrops Addition to Make Ten - This fun addition game to learn about addition to 10. This helps to improve concentration and counting skills while enhancing the fine motor skills. 

👕What Should I Wear Today? -  To help children learn the appropriate attire to wear according to the weather.

📊My Weather Chart - To learn basic graphing skills, and also to learn about sorting and grouping.

☔Rainy Day Umbrella Craft - This great activity to brush their artistic skills and to develop creativity.
