Bug Play Box - Together we discover the world of bugs

We created this playbox based on the book "Discover the World of bugs".

Our Bug Play Box is perfect for the little explorer with 8 activities created to increase skills in cognitive, language, fine motor, numeracy, literacy, and sensory processing. 

Along with our bug themed activity includes: 

  Bug Sensory Bin - Children will enjoy sensory playset through "catching bugs" using bug hunter tools, which allow them to observe, discover and explore! They'll love scooping and filling the green rice (solely handmade) and searching for hidden bugs. 

The sensory bin provides children with the opportunity to explore and learn through hands-on tactile play that engages their senses. Sensory play may calm a child, focus a child, and engage a child.

  What's Inside The Jar? - Use the mini torchlight to light up the cards, you will find out what's hidden in the jar. 

   Honey Transfer - Children get to enjoy the water transfer activity by using the eyedropper, spoon, and syringe in the honeycomb ice cube tray. Working with water is a great sensory experience and is good exercise for their hand muscles and fine motor skills. 

  Frozen Bug Rescue - Get the feel of water turning from liquid to solid states and sense the ice.  Use a toy hammer to help free the bugs frozen in the ice. Learn to use fine and gross motor skills to manipulate the hammer to smash and crush the ice. Once the bugs were free, counted how many they freed. 

  Bug Jar Addition - This bug jar addition game makes learning math fun and hands-on with the fun roll it, show it, write it. Your kids will love it!

  Ladybug Subtraction -  The fun ladybug-themed subtraction game is perfect for making math fun! Spin a number and remove spots from the ladybug and calculate the remaining. Children will get a real feel of what subtraction means. 

  Hexagon Matching Puzzle - Use our coloured hexagon wood slices to complete the 8 hexagon matching puzzles. Perfect activity to enhance colour recognition skills. 

  Butterfly Symmetry Game - Great activity helps children with symmetry and pattern recognition by matching butterflies' wings.
